Interact’s own factory now producing the goods!
Having previously outsourced the actual production of its flagship product, Interactive Columns, to a tight specification using base material from 4 select suppliers, Interact decided last March to develop an in-house facility from its own separate premises.
The advantages of its own factory means that Interact can impose an even higher level of quality control than before—right from the point of manufacture through to dispatch and installation.
The company is now also able to offer greater flexibility to its customised service– accommodating differing wall thickness of circular columns, the ability to protect a whole host of detailed architectural features, and the capacity to come up with individual solutions for the most problematic fire protection scenarios.
This Autumn, 3500 square feet of factory space at Halesfield Industrial Estate in Telford were secured and a ‘plural kit’ installed for maximum quality delivery. (This is a special in-line preparation and mixing system that is particularly appropriate for epoxy intumescent). New works manager, Adrian Carter, is overseeing further developments in the whole production process.
The very first batch production was finished for the Audi car showroom in Perth in November, while work has started on the next order—for the Dundrum shopping centre, just outside Dublin.
