Interact Secure Third Secondary Cladding Contract
The Hebden Bridge Library is under refurbishment and Interact Fire Solutions has successfully secured the contract to supply 360 and 250 diameter Interactive Casings to three universal columns of 203 x 230 and two universal columns 152 x 152. The fire protection period is for 60 minutes.
Interactive Casings are a patented secondary cladding system which overcomes the serious issues which can be encountered with other non-structurally fire rated systems offering only class ‘O’ spread of flame. (Link to secondary cladding presentation) Interact has developed a method of incorporating the structural fire protection within the casing, with no need to offer fire protection to the universal column first.
The casings will provide the client with the aesthetics so demanding on this highly visible and prestigious project in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire. Fire Management Limited (Link to www.fire-manage.ltd.uk) is the subcontractor specially trained to install secondary cladding casings.
