Work in Progress at the Great North Museum/Hancock
The fire protection to sixteen columns has been completed at the Great North Museum in Newcastle. The columns are in two main rooms which will house some of the museum’s exhibitions.
The highly decorative castings utilising Interactive Columns made from International Paint’s Interchar 212 were selected for the high durability and aesthetically uniform appeal with no design joints.
The robustness of the system makes it ideal for areas with high people traffic and the close proximity to the public will add to the user friendly and tactile atmosphere the museum is trying to create.
