Interact Fire Solutions Secures Fourth Dublin Project

Gaiety Shopping Centre – Dublin
It was just a hole in the ground when Interact Fire Solutions went to site to discuss the plan for Interactive Columns to this prestigious shopping centre in the very heart of the Dublin retail centre next to Stephens Green.
The Gaiety is a mixed development scheme and is specified by A & D Wejchert and Partners with building works by Micheal McNamara & Co., Interact cast epoxy product was approved as the preferred method of fire protection for feature steelwork.
Project Specifications
The size of castings ranges from 193 diameter inside the store to 406 diameter to the external envelope. When completed, Interactive Columns will contribute to this outstanding building with 192 linear metres of castings using 3,000 kg of International Paint’s Interchar 212 epoxy intumescent.
International Paint’s Interchar 212 offers two to three hours fire protection to hollow sections and up to three hours fire protection as a secondary cladding system.
The Gaiety Project, with the help of the Fireseal Group in Tallaght (the installation subcontractors) is due for completion late in 2008 when it will compete as one of the most modern shopping centres in Dublin.
